VyOS On RHEV

VyOS can be deployed on Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) platforms, which is a collection of open source components offered by Red Hat as a complete virtualization solution for the Enterprise. RHEV is the stable, Enterprise ready downstream release of the oVirt project and combines virtualization, container, network, and storage management into a single platform with a power management interface. It can also be managed with popular DevOps tools such as Redhat Ansible.

VyOS can easily be deployed into RHEV environments via the use of the installation ISO like other Linux based VM’s, Cloned from a master template VM, or deployed to the VM via PXE. There is also a cloud ready image that can be used for rapid deployment onto RHEV platforms. This allows you to quickly and easily deploy VyOS on your RHEV based Enterprise clouds.

Running VyOS on RHEV gives you the flexibility of leveraging an Enterprise grade open virtualization provider in your infrastructure with the open networking power of VyOS. VyOS on RHEV can rapidly and easily provide support for a wide variety of VPN protocols, advanced routing features, and stateful firewall capabilities on your existing infrastructure without the need for dedicated physical appliances. It also allows for the deployment of new converged environments in which all functions are virtualized eliminating the need to plan for dedicated network appliances in your next project.
